I'm not sure what sociological variables changed that turned hitchhiking from something people might occasionally did into a presumed death wish, but I'm waiting for the This American Life episode that will tell me.
Saw this guy on a strip of land outside a Wal-Mart as we returned from Lake Powell and headed on to our next stop: Monument Valley.
